Pearly penile papules

How I removed my PPP permanently at home
without going to a specialist:

Do you have Pearly penile papules (Hirsuties papillaris genitalis)? I'm a 30-year-old guy living in Washington state. I'm not a doctor or board certified surgeon, and I don't own a fortune 500 cosmetic surgery clinic, - I use to have PPP as well since I was a teenager. I was very uncomfortable to have these bumps on my penis and I was embarrassed simply because of the appearance of these things. It was also embarrassing in front of girls. What if she sees them? What if she thinks that I have some kind of disease?

Soon, I came to the conclusion that I had to do something with these papules, and I decided to learn everything about this skin condition. I did a lot of research online and I went through every single article where they were talking about how to remove pearly penile papules. I tried all kinds of tricks and home remedies to remove them but none of them really worked.

Then I heard about the carbon dioxide Laser treatment and I contacted several doctors. Most of the clinics did not give me any estimate on the procedure; usually they just told me that I have to make an appointment. Later I found out that generally these doctors charge around $3000 in the U.S. or £2000 in the UK for a Pearly penile papules CO2 Laser ablation.

Then I found out that there are other doctors working with different treatment methods, like curettage, radio-surgery, electrosurgery, excisional surgery, hyfrecation, advertised as low as $800 to $1500. Sometimes that's only a rough estimate, and they might give you a different price when you show up at their clinic for examination.

I didn't want to travel too far and spend thousands on this procedure. But my PPP's were still bugging me and I didn't give up. I quickly realized that a very high percentage of these tissues are basically water, and I tried to learn as much as possible about how these Laser machines "evaporate" these bumps on the penis.

After another few months researching the pearly penile papule removal principles, this year (2010) I came up with a new idea of how to remove them effectively, without spending a fortune on a CO2 laser procedure. I have never seen earlier this pearly penile papules treatment method written down anywhere and I was pretty sure that no one has tried it before. To make sure everything goes fine I removed my PPP in two sessions, by treating just a few at first to make sure everything goes perfect. I waited about one to two weeks to fully recuperate.

I was extremely happy with the results. The second time I have treated all of the remaining lumps by performing the same procedure all over again. After another two weeks of recuperation, I was completely free of PPP. After so many years, I couldn't believe that I didn't have to live with my PPP anymore!

Just like most of us, I wanted to save that money for something else.

For me it it looked more effective than any of the following removal techniques that many guys try: toothpaste, wart removal products, freezing, applying chlorine or iodine, saturation with water, diet, oils, powders, herbs, aloe vera, scraping them, medications, vitamins, masks, home remedies or other "cheesy" removal methods.

I've heard that some laser treatments or other methods for removing pearly penile papules, may cause scarring but luckily I have had no scarring from this painless procedure. My total expenses for this entire procedure were approx $140. Fortunately I took some amateur pictures during my treatment so I can show you guys this is not a hoax.

Definition and other general information about PPP, in case you’ve never heard about the condition before:

What are these flesh-coloured tiny lesions on the rim of the glans-penis? What is pearly penile papillae ? This funny looking penile skin condition is called pearly penile papules.
Pearly penile papules is a clinical skin condition of the penis, they commonly develop after puberty and it involves these pink or skin-colored lesions on the glans of the penis. These small dome-shaped bumps, appear around the circumference of the corona of the penis, and they are not a symptom of an STD. Very commonly, they occur in a single or double row on the corona of the glans penis. These small bumps are commonly pink or skin-colored, and for this reason some people call it pearly pink papules or pearly white papules.
It is not a virus, not a sexually transmitted disease, in fact they are quite common among 15-50 year old men and the incidence is slightly higher among uncircumcised men. Typically lesions are asymptomatic, they persist throughout life, however, they may become less noticeable with increased age. It is often mistakenly diagnosed as genital warts, cancer, Sebaceous prominences, Sebaceous cyst, Lichen nitidus, Tyson glands, Fordyce spots, or as other sexually transmitted diseases. What most individuals don't know is that these dome shaped genital lumps are completely benign.
The majority of people, feel uncomfortable to talk about these penile bumps to their doctor. A really important idea is that the penile papule bumps have nothing to do with sexual activity or personal hygiene.
The Latin name of this condition is Hirsuties papillaris genitalis. It is completely harmless but its cause is unknown. The dome-topped bumps are situated circumferentially around the corona of the penis in several rows. The bumps are not caused by a disease, and they are not transmitted sexually. Studies show that 10% to -30% of men may have this skin condition, regardless of whether they are circumcised (however, PPP is more common among uncircumcised men). Over time, the papules associated with PPP may become less noticeable, but they rarely disappear completely. The pearly white papules have nothing to do with genital warts or other skin diseases.
So far, doctor have not been able to determine why these bumps appear, and there is no known removal cream that can be used to treat the bumps. Some specialists think that the bumps may be swollen or blocked sweat glands or pores, but the papules are in no way related to sexual activity or bad hygiene. From the time that the papules start to appear, it may take 3 to 4 years for them to completely come to the surface. On a personal note, I have had pearly papules since I was 14 years old, and my experience over the last 16 years tells me that they do not diminish in appearance unless you do something to treat them. A successful pearly penile papule treatment & removal should ensure a completely papule-free penis with no scarring or bruising and with minimal or no pain. The treatment should not alter sensation or sensitivity, and the penis it should function exactly as it did before the pearly penile papules treatment.
