Hirsuties Papillaris Genitalis or Pearly Penile Papules?

Click on the logo to read my full story from the beginning and see my pictures. Hirsuties Papillaris Genitalis is the Latin name of a benign skin condition of the human penis widely known as "Pearly Penile Papules". I also have had this condition from the time I was a teenager.

This medical expression is rarely used for some reason, it's probably due to that people can't really remember as easy. Hirsuties Papillaris Penis are located on the ridge of the penile glans in small salience's. Anatomically it is considered completely harmless and they can be found frequently among uncircumcised guys. These red or pink colored nodules can be found on male individuals between 12 to 40-years-of-age, and with they will gradually draw back and disappear with time.

These nodules appear in several rows under the foreskin and they start to develop during puberty, their size is measures around 1/16th of an inch or less. Experts have estimated that 1/4th of the male population suffer from these innocuous lumps. Generally these penile nodules look like water entrapped in tiny pink balloons.

Hirsuties Coronae Glandis can reproduce even faster in the cases on individuals with inability to move their foreskin back so they can keep the glans penis area sanitized on a daily basis. It this case the accumulation of the smegma under the foreskin will cause the development of these pearly bumps. Patients with severe cases of papillaris genitalis can benefit from several types of surgical corrections. The majority of men feel somewhat uncomfortable to live with these white pimples on their penis corona, they feel ashamed when having sex with their female partner, especially when they are receiving fellatio.

Patients living with this condition state that it does play some role in penal sensation and orgasm. Others reported that these pimples can get very sensitive after prolonged sexual activity, further stimulation is rather painful than enjoyment. These bumps eventually will disappear or self correct after 40-years-of-age. Some man expressed their fears on this condition because it is often misdiagnosed as herpes or genital warts. Most men will try a great variety of treatment possibilities such as medications, creams and oils, toothpaste and shaving creams, powders etc. Most of these methods will not provide permanent results, the pearly papules will regain their original size or simply they grow back.

Generally it's not a good idea to scrape or pluck them either if the penis is flaccid or erect. They can get infected easily, irritation and redness may occur if we try to treat them with the wrong substances. They are often misdiagnosed as HPV Warts and patients may feel revealed after learning that they only have harmless penile papules. There are a number of home remedies to cure it but we should be careful because some of the substances used may be physically dangerous to the penis, it can cause permanent damages so we should always seek professional help.
