Lawsuit Over Pearly Penile Papules TV Story

A young guy named Tyler B., who is approximately 23-years-old filed a lawsuit against the Dr. Phil's show, claiming that they tricked him into going to this TV program which was the syndicated talk show named The Doctors TV, so he should talk about his genital blemishes found on the head of his penis, when they aired an other episode against this protest.

Legal details: Tyler B. is represented by attorney Walter B.
The defendants are the CBS TV Distribution, Dr. William G., from La Jolla Plastic Surgery Center, Stage Twenty Nine Media Prod & Lumenis. Tyler B. is seeking punitive damages for emotional distress and privacy invasion, negligent misrep of the circumstances and fraud.

Interestingly, this TV program manages to convince folks to appear on their show with their "too humiliating to talk about it" medical conditions. They offered him a free treatment if he appears on this show but as always, there is some catch behind the "free" word. This happens very often these days.

This young man who was just recently married, hired an attorney and they went to court to file a lawsuit over the embarrassing situation, he just wanted to get rid of his pearly penile papules (hirsuties papillaris genitalis).

In an interview he claimed that he was embarrassed in front of the audience and he felt like his rights were violated from his point of view. He is suing the show makers of The Doctors TV show, his plastic surgeon and other involved individuals, Taylor B. says they agreed in the beginning to appear on the show in South California, in exchange he would have his pearly penile papules removed for free with the widely known CO2 laser procedure. The worst problem arose when he realized that this small cosmetic surgery operation wasn't even successful.

This show is led by Dr. Phil and his son, where various medical doctors talk about all kinds of diseases or conditions to people that are too embarrassed to visit a doctor. The star patient who is from Minnesota says that he have had these pinkish bumps on his penis since he was a teenager. Taylor B. actually never signed a waiver which would allow the surgeon to share his medical information with third parties.

The plaintiff really wanted to get rid of his lumps, and he contacted a board certified dermatologist in California, and the doctors assistant gave him a quote of four thousand dollars, but mentioned to him that they will remove his PPP for no charge if he agrees to appear on the TV show and if he talks about his papules that are located on the head of his junk.

Otherwise this procedure would cost him three to four thousand dollars. The lawsuit says he was told that it will be completely alright, this show will only be watched by elderly people and young students wanting to become medical doctors.

When he arrived to the show in Hollywood he learned that The Doctors show is viewed all over the United States, and they felt pressured by the producer who told that not many people would see the airing. Later he realizes that there is a large audience (close to two hundred people) watching this show right there in the studio. Later he realized that most of the people are not even into the medical field.

He claims until that day he never met the physician before, and he didn't even had much time to talk to him and he was not given the chance to re-think if he wants to proceed any further with this procedure or not.

Despite his effort, the video was aired in the beginning of 2009 several times and still can be found on several internet sites. Tyler got promises from this doctor that ninety nine percent of his PPP will be removed completely. The show has been started, Bowling had the surgery backstage in ten or fifteen minutes.

The board certified surgeon denied to comment on this lawsuit, claiming he has to review it first.

Later Tyler B. told the media that because the procedure wasn't successful, he had to fly back to the cosmetic surgeons clinic for a second session. Surprisingly he said that even after a second treatment he still has some lumps on his penis, they were not removed completely.
