Pearly penile papules are not contagious, they are not a virus such as herpes, and they are a totally normal condition of a man's penis. While it is generally recommended to leave the bumps alone, they can be removed, if so desired, for cosmetic reasons. We have to remember that the removal of ppp is a purely cosmetic procedure. With the right removal method, only one treatment usually is needed to remove all PPP in the majority of cases.
